It is the mission of Blue H.E.L.P. to reduce mental health stigma through education, advocate for benefits for those suffering from post-traumatic stress, acknowledge the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers we lost to suicide, support families after a suicide and to bring awareness to suicide and mental health issues.

National Suicide Awareness for Law Enforcement Officers Program

Provides education and resources to law enforcement officers and agencies and those who support law enforcement including colleagues, friends, family, and clergy members.

The Mobile Crisis team consists of licensed professional social workers and nurses who are specially trained to help individuals, and their families, with mental health problems.

If you or a family member is experiencing a mental health crisis call the Team.  Social workers and nurses travel to homes, schools, work-sites and other locations in Nassau County.

The Team responds in the same day and provides supportive crisis intervention for children and adults who are experiencing an emotional disturbance, interpersonal crisis or psychiatric emergency.

New York Law Enforcement Assistance Program

Our services are offered at no charge to individuals who serve as first responders and their families. The mission of NYLEAP is to improve the mental health and overall wellness of all law enforcement officers and first responders (both active and retired).

Forge VFR was founded by Veterans and offers specialized mental health and substance use treatment designed to address the unique culture, preferences, and values of first responders, emergency and health care professionals, veterans, active-duty military, and their families.

Blue Line offers a safe, discreet treatment space for first responders. Blue Line understands and respects the needs and concerns that are specific to first responders, and provides professional, culturally-competent treatment. Blue Line Psychological Services understands police culture, including the organizational and operational stressors inherent to police work, and incorporates this cultural-competence into the treatment of first responders.

The Crisis Center provides walk-in evaluation and treatment to assist patients in their recovery from a wide range of psychiatric conditions and emotional issues. Services include crisis psychotherapy, evidence-based screening assessments, diagnostic evaluations, short-term treatment, medication management and referral, and linkage to follow-up care. Most major insurances are accepted.

Beyond the Badge NY raises suicide and mental health awareness, to address the growing mental health crisis that the first responder community is currently facing. Services and support are for those individuals who serve as first 1responders.
